1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Convertly (convertly.ng), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time.

2. Description of Service

Convertly provides free online tools for:

PDF processing (merge, split, compress, convert)
Image processing (resize, compress, convert, watermark, background removal)
Video and audio conversion
OCR text extraction from images and PDFs
QR code generation
WhatsApp link generation

The service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove tools at any time.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Convertly only for lawful purposes. You must not:

Upload files that contain malware, viruses, or harmful code.
Upload copyrighted content you do not have the right to process.
Upload illegal content including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or content that violates Nigerian or international law.
Attempt to overload, hack, or disrupt our servers or services.
Use automated bots or scripts to abuse the service.
Use the service to process files on behalf of third parties for commercial gain without our permission.

4. File Uploads & Processing

You retain full ownership of any files you upload.
By uploading a file, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process it solely for the purpose of delivering the requested conversion result.
All files are automatically deleted within 24 hours.
Maximum file size is 200MB per upload.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of OCR results or the quality of conversions for all file types.

5. Intellectual Property

The Convertly name, logo, website design, and tool interfaces are the intellectual property of Convertly. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the site without our written permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Convertly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that conversion results will meet your specific requirements. Use the service at your own risk and always keep backups of important files.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Convertly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, loss of files, or business interruption. Our total liability to you shall not exceed NGN 0 (zero naira), as the service is provided free of charge.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep Convertly available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uptime. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime without prior notice. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate the service at any time.

9. Blog Comments

By submitting a comment on our blog, you grant us the right to display it publicly. You must not post spam, offensive content, or content that violates any law. We reserve the right to remove any comment at our discretion.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from the use of Convertly shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
